Faster than lightning Arrangörer Peter Hedenskog & Sajtkollen

A full day of both theory and practical tips you should keep in mind to ensure that your website is fast for the end user.

These are exciting times when it comes to building websites that are fast. New technologies are making new demands and the speed is no longer a hygiene factor, but a basic functionality that your site must have.

Reality has become even more complex since Steve Souders 2007 found that 80-90 percent of the user’s time is spent in the front end. The front end is still as important and your site needs be able to manage users both from desktop and mobile, be quick for old HTTP / 1.1 and the new standard HTTP / 2, serve a lot of images and someone (maybe you?) must keep track of everything and make sure it works and is fast.

During the day we will go through both theory and practical tips you should keep in mind to ensure that your website is fast.

High Performance Images Läs mer

Today's average website is 62% pure image data. We use images to convey emotion, elicit an action or simply to amuse our peers. They show holiday photos, pie charts or animated cats. To deliver a great user experience, we need to learn to create high performance images and implement an image management strategy: leveraging the ideal image file formats and use advanced techniques to handle the challenges of responsive designs and situational performance. High performance images increase the perceived performance of your website, improve the user experience and drive conversions.
