Stockholm Waterfront 25-26 november 2019

Organized by SingularityU Nordic and Human Rights Foundation, 25 november 2019:

The Future of Governance

Rum C4, plan 2

SingularityU Nordic and the Human Rights Foundation on three of the most important topics of our technology-enabled world: Prosperity, privacy, and democracy.

While technology has in many ways enabled a better, safer, healthier, and more prosperous world, it has also opened up new Pandora’s Boxes:

  • Privacy is at risk. Our lives are increasingly micro-monitored, and personal data has become one of the most valuable commodities in the world.
  • Inequality is growing while the digitization of our existing money system is delivering benefits to the haves faster than the have-nots
  • The foundations of democracy are under attack from surveillance states and misinformation campaigns.

What are we to do?

In this track, world-leading experts will explore existing trends and future scenarios to help us understand how we can create a better tomorrow.
